- If you receive many Spam Emails we could obfuscate your plain text email, and we could add some protection to your contact form, but even so spammers could still find your email and send spam. Spammers can reach your email in 2 ways:
- Directly: As your email is exposed (visible) whoever want to send something can do it >>> We could put something like “click here for email” and obfuscate the visible email, but this is not always a guarantee that you will not receive any spam.
- From the Contact form: Although in some cases we can have a small protection (like a question: What is 3 + 4), that can be easily surpassed just by doing it by hand >>> We could add some protection to your contact form, like a captcha.
- You can also try adding some rules to your email client (Gmail / Hotmail / Yahoo…) to send spam emails to spam/junk folders automatically.
- In your hosting prodiver control panel maybe you can find a spam threshold setting that can be configured although this is the sort of thing that it is best to monitor closely (i.e. keep an eye on the junk folder to make sure no genuine emails are being incorrectly filtered) to see which level is most suitable.
